Welcome to The Blood Bag Project, a craft project that aims to raise awareness of the rare blood condition Diamond Blackfan Anaemia. Chloe was born with this condition which means her bone marrow was unable to make it’s own red blood cells. After hundreds of blood transfusions throughout her life, Chloe underwent a lifesaving stem cell transplant.

The project has been set up by textile artist Leigh Bowser, Chloe’s aunt to raise awareness of DBA and encourage people to donate blood as well as sign up to be a bone marrow donor.
